Who to contact

The Scam Stopper provides personal scam awareness services. Contact hello@thescamstopper.co.uk for privacy enquiries. The operating legal entity and postal address must be added here before launch.

Information we use

We store your name, email address, selected package, payment status and Stripe payment references. For a profile scan, we also store the public profile links you submit, review status and report. We retain email sending records and copies of messages sent through admin. A salted hash of your IP address helps limit automated submissions.

Why we use it

We use these details to deliver your requested guide, administer paid services, send package updates and respond to enquiries. We rely on fulfilling your request or contract and legitimate interests in security and administration. Optional marketing beyond these services requires a separate lawful basis.

Payments and providers

Stripe processes payments on its secure checkout. We do not store payment card details. Our hosting and email providers process information needed to operate the service. International transfers, where applicable, must use appropriate safeguards.

Cookies

Essential session cookies protect forms and admin access. This clone does not include advertising or analytics trackers.

Retention and your rights

We keep information only as long as needed for the service, legitimate administration and applicable record-keeping requirements. Contact us to ask about access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability where those rights apply. You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
